Colonial Summer Day Camp at the Old Barracks provides children with a rich cultural experience, as well as lots of fun! Some of the activities the kids will do include:

• Recreating camp life on the Old Barracks parade ground, used over 200 years ago by British, Hessian, and American Soldiers
• Cooking stew in the camp kitchen, as soldiers would have done while at battle
• Marching to local historic sites, including the NJ State House and the 1719 William Trent House
• Drilling to Baron von Steuben's Manual of Arms, a real drill set used in the Revolution
• Playing games that were favorites of 18th century children
• Showing off all that they learned to their families during a Ceremony on the last afternoon of camp

All campers receive a T-Shirt to complete their Colonial Summer Day Camp Uniform!

Last day to enroll is June 21st 2024

Ages: 9-12

Duration: Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Dates:​
July 15-19, 2024
Tuition: 

• $250/session Old Barracks Association Lieutenant Members
• $275/session Non-Members
