Camp Ins

For organized youth groups, scout troops and other organized groups, The Old Barracks now offers a unique new way to live history: the camp in!

Arrive at the Old Barracks in the late afternoon on Friday or Saturday.
"Meet the Past" via our First Person interpretive programs, complete with several costumed interpreters.
Watch an historic weapons demonstration.
Partake of a soldier's "Common Pot" of stew, cooked over an open fire (weather permitting).
Tour the museum.
Participate in a period craft activity.
Spend the night in the barracks.
Eat a "Continental's breakfast.

Requirements

Group size: minimum 24, maximum 30. A minimum of 3 adults per group.
Price: $33/person inclusive.
A 25% non-refundable fee is due two weeks after you set your date. There are a total of 6 sets of bunks.
Soldiers slept two to a bunk. We offer the same arrangement. There is additional floor space for adults.
Visitors must bring their own sleeping bags and pillows.
This is an adventure opportunity that happens rain or shine.
Many activities will be conducted outdoors please dress appropriately. There are modern restroom facilities but no showers.
Dates are available most Friday/Saturday Nights late March through June and September through October.

Bring snacks if desired and dinners for those on restricted diets.
