Hello friends,
As we approach the final weeks of the annual Budget battle in Trenton, the Advocates for New Jersey History have made it easy for New Jerseyans to reach out to their legislators to encourage them to support funding for New Jersey History. Following the simple steps below (then get all your friends, neighbors and relatives to do the same), you can urge support for not only the Old Barracks, but the Save Ellis Island Foundation, Historic Morven, and the Battleship New Jersey – all of which non-profits have been eliminated again from the State's budget for the coming fiscal year. They've made it an incredibly easy, 5-step process for you:
1. Click on the following link: http://www.legislatoraction.com/njadvocates/action.html
2. Click on the "Take Action Now" button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click on your home town (from the drop down box on the left). When that produces the list of your district legislators, click on the box in front of each of their names. Then, click on the "Select Representatives" button.
4. That will bring you to the letter that we've already composed for you. Just enter your contact information at the bottom of the screen and click on "Preview and Submit."
5. On the final screen, click on "Submit Letter."
Please forward this message to anyone else who has an interest in promoting New Jersey History. Our immediate goal is to make this go viral in its own way. It would be nice to see New Jersey's history community come together and effectively show its "muscle" on this critical issue.
Thank you for your support.
